Access policy
During examination periods, study places in the Library Learning Centre (REC H) are only accessible to UvA students and staff with a valid UvA pass.
Study Spaces
- Over 900 study spaces, including 46 study places with desktop PCs and 22 study spaces with Humanscale (large monitor).
- Collaboration spaces (only reservable for UvA affiliates).
- Video calling areas (on the 2nd floor).
Check the opening hours of the study spaces.
Service & Collection
In the information centre on the 1st floor you can ask questions and get various facilities:
- Collection and return of books and other materials.
- Assistance in finding academic information and research data.
- Borrowing laptops (Chromebooks). You can find more information about borrowing laptops at student.uva.nl.
- Borrowing headphones (UvA only).
- Consulting the digital collection via collection PCs (external users).
- Printing, copying and scanning. You can find more information about printing, copying and scanning at student.uva.nl.
On the 2nd floor of the H building you will find the current collections (FEB and FMG collections) in anthropology, communication studies, economics and business administration, geography, planning and international development studies, pedagogical and educational sciences, political science, psychology and sociology.

Accessibility
The entire building is accessible for wheelchair users.
Parking spaces for wheelchair users
Within the municipality of Amsterdam you can apply for an Amsterdam parking permit for disabled visitors if you are in possession of a European disabled parking card. This permit allows you to park free of charge in all paid parking areas.
