The Computer Science collection is located in the Science Park library (FNWI).
Total size of the collection: about 10,000 titles, spread over a number of sites of which the most important are: the Science Library and the University Library. The collection Informatics is ranked at the level of a collection for teaching and research. In the 70s a growing realization grow of computer science as an independent identity of scientific significance. The result was an explosive flow of not always scientific literature. It took until 1986 for the establishment of a focused acquisition policy. In the Science Library the collection is directed into two sections: firstly, it is focused on those areas where research takes place, on the other hand, titles are purchased that are important for education. Especially in the early years, the focus lay on the education component. As a result, there is a fairly large theoretically oriented part, next to a small but steadily growing, specialized research collection. Given that information is employed in many other fields, a portion of this research collection is interdisciplinary in nature.
Computer Science is classified under the Library of Congress Classification (LCC) QA75.5 - 76.95.
The library for Computational Linguistics contains a small collection, mainly in the field of general and theoretical computer science and applications of informatics within the humanities.
