The 'Library Learning Spaces' in the JK building are part of the Library Learning Centre Roeterseiland Campus (LLC REC). The Learning Spaces have their own opening hours.

Project rooms and study spaces

Library Learning Space JK is located in the basement, ground floor and first floor of the JK building. There are 140 places spread over 27 project rooms. These spaces can be reserved for collaboration. a registration form at the door.

You can also find individual study spots. There are 24 available on the basement floor and 8 on the ground floor.

Each room is unique in look and size, made entirely of recycled materials.
How to use the project rooms in the J/K-building?
  • Reserve the project rooms through UvA Spacefinder.
  • You can reserve up to one week in advance, for a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 6 hours.
  • Don’t forget: each student is allowed two active reservations.

Hardware and accessories: Some rooms (K.57/K.55/K.51 and 1.55/1.47) have large screens. To connect your laptop, you’ll need an HDMI cable, available for loan at the library desk (1st floor of the H-building) with your student card.  Markers for whiteboards are also available at the library.

 

Houserules

 By using our project rooms, you agree to the following:

  • If you are 15 minutes late, another  student is allowed to use the room.
  • Cancel unused reservations.
  • No phone calls or eating in the rooms.
  • Don’t leave belongings unattended.
  • Leave the room tidy and furniture in place.
