The UvA Library provides access to thousands of e-books. Most of them have been catalogued individually, just like printed books. Use CataloguePlus to find and read them. Click the tab UvA books+ and perform your search. If there are any e-books answering your query, you can then refine the results by Availability: Full Text Online. Searching for e-books by author is possible in Advanced Search.

Most e-books are freely available to UvA staff and students. Sometimes e-books are limited to a certain number of simultaneous users, so you may need to try again later.

The possibility for (partial or complete) downloading and printing depends on the publisher. EBSCO have limited the number of downloadable pages.
