The University Library is located in the former Binnengasthuis, once a hospital, now transformed into a modern academic library. During the tour, you’ll discover how historical details and contemporary architecture come together in an inspiring space to study, research, and meet others.

Regular and group tours

Regular tours take place weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 AM. They are conducted in Dutch, open to everyone, and designed for groups of 5–15 participants.

In addition, group tours are available for 5 to 20 participants. These can be organized on request and, if desired, conducted in English. They are intended for faculties and services of the UvA and AUAS (such as FS, ICTS, and AC), as well as for architects, other libraries, and universities from the Netherlands and abroad.
