Do you continue studying this summer and want to keep your brain in top condition? Complete your thesis, follow a program at UvA Summer School or a workshop at Crea? Whatever your work-out, studying in the summer is top sport and the Online Study Space, the Library's digital study environment, will guide you in this during the 9-week Summer Sprint.
The Online Study Space will pull you over the finish line!

Every Monday there is an online study session from 9.30 am to 3 pm with a fixed Parcours (program). It will be a full brain HIIT work-out (pomodoro method) in which we take a short hydration moment (break) after every 25 minutes of training (study), so that we keep those brain lobes active.

Every Monday online Personal Trainers are ready for you (information specialists) to pull you over that finish line. All this under the guidance of our own Chef de Mission (the OSS student hosts).

Free coffee all summer

If you decide to follow the Parcours (in University Library Singel), you will receive a wristband with which you can get free sports drinks (coffee and tea) during the entire Summer Sprint. Between 10.15 and 10.50 am you will also receive free sports nutrition (croissant, fruit or a cookie) with this band, so that you prevent a hunger pang.

What is the Online Study Space?

It is  the place where you study online, collaborate, gain inspiration, share information and meet new people. Studying together provides structure and motivation. In the Online Study Space you can do this anytime, anywhere, wherever and whenever you log in. And all students are welcome. The hosts - also students - will guide you through the online environment and guide the study sessions in the right direction. Online Study Space is an online variant of study places in the library, and more than that. The possibilities within Online Study Space are expanding, among other things through the range of workshops, consultation hours of lecturers and initiatives of fellow students.

How do I get to the Online Study Space?

You must have MS Teams downloaded on your computer. Read more about using MS Teams as a student. Once in MS Teams, log in with your UvA email address and you will see Online Study Space UvA (OSS) in the menu.
