ORCID stands for Open Researcher and Contributor iD. It is a unique, personal identifier that is used to distinguish researchers. ORCID does for researchers what an ISBN does for books and a DOI for articles. However, in order to use it properly, you must activate the connection. Although the UvA is leading in terms of registration, it is at the bottom in terms of the number of links to Pure.

How do I activate the connection?

You can easily connect your ORCID iD to Pure by going to your ‘Personal overview’ in Pure and selecting ‘Edit profile’. Then click on the option ‘Create or connect your ORCID iD’.  Activate the connection today!
