Software Carpentries Workshop
The VU will be hosting a four day R workshop in collaboration with the Library. The workshop aims to provide an introduction to programming with R to broaden your skills for analyzing and plotting your data. Through live coding you will be introduced to the basics of R, mostly following the software Carpentries curriculum. In addition, you will get guidance on applying your newly acquired skills to aspects of your own research (e.g. by doing some analysis and/or visualizing data). This latter element is still in the pilot phase. It is intended to underscore underlying principles and best practices, helping you gain more experience and building confidence in programming. At the end of the workshop, you will have created something useful for your own project and be ready to build on it.
