By trying it yourself, you will learn how to deeply engage students with the information you want to convey through detailed observation of and multi-sensory interaction with objects. We reflect on the many applications of OBTL and cover some concrete tools to get started. 

After completing this workshop: 

  • you will have a clear understanding of the concept of "Object Based Teaching and Learning" 
  • you will understand the different ways in which Object Based Teaching and Learning can be used to provide students with a richer learning experience 
  • you will have an idea of how the library provides support in implementing Object Based Teaching and Learning 
  • you will be aware of the heritage objects that the library owns and how you can use them in your education 

This workshop provides valuable insights and practical support to integrate the use of heritage objects into your teaching practice. OBTL is suitable for all disciplines and programs.
