The Carpentries is an American not-for-profit organisation and global community of software engineers, data scientists and librarians who develop and teach workshops on programming and data science.
Research is increasingly becoming digital and data-driven. If you want to make the most of the new digital opportunities, good digital skills are essential. The Carpentries offers a great way to acquire them. The workshops are taught worldwide and are highly rated. That is why the UvA has joined The Carpentries and the University Library aims to offer these workshops on behalf of the UvA on a regular basis.
