About this workshop

Want to keep track of your references to secondary sources? When you create your own online literature file with the citation manager Mendeley, creating references and bibliographies is very easy. You can also create groups to share references and annotations in articles and collaborate on documents with others.

After successful completion of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • create and manage personal bibliographic databases;
  • store literature data in your own Mendeley file;
  • use your personal Mendeley file to ensure consistent literature references when writing publications, and
  • create groups to collaborate with others.

Other citation managers include Zotero and RefWorks. If you're having trouble deciding, check out the overview of pros and cons (PDF) of each citation tool.
