Access Policy

Don't forget your card

During the examination periods, a stricter access policy applies. Please note that the Library is only accessible with a valid UvA student or staff card. Starting from 16 April 2024, you can only enter the Library with your physical pass.

Restricted access during exam periods

Due to busy moments during examination periods, the library locations are then only accessible to UvA students and staff.

All other pass holders can only pick up materials during these periods (on showing their pick-up notice) and return them at the UB Singel location. The Allard Pierson Reading Room will remain open for all pass holders.
