The Library provides analyses and interpretations of strategic research information and research impact, based on bibliometric and other research data.

Using Research Intelligence, research impact analyses are prepared for evaluations, benchmarks and reports at the level of institutes, departments, and faculties. In doing so, we look not only at scientific impact, but where possible also at broader forms of impact, such as policy-related or societal visibility.

We also support strategic questions regarding direction, positioning and policy. Examples include questions about research profiles, international comparison, collaboration, open access, research visibility and the interpretation of indicators.

In addition, we offer user support for databases and analytical tools such as SciVal, Overton, Altmetric, Web of Science, Scopus and OpenAlex. We help users not only to find and export data, but also to interpret and apply it responsibly.
