Attention! When importing titles you can choose to export them to either the classic version of RefWorks (Legacy) or the new RefWorks version. Choose the right version by clicking on the box and check the ‘don’t ask me this again’ box.

From CataloguePlus

  • Select the desired titles by clicking on the pushpin
  • Go to your favorites via the pushpin at the top right > Select the titles
  • Press the 3 dots above the list, choose RefWorks

RefWorks will open and after signing in the sources will automatically be imported.

If you want to export just one title, click on the title in the list of search results and choose Send to: RefWorks.

From Google Scholar

In Google Scholar, activate the button Import into RefWorks: press the 3 bars at the top left, choose Settings and choose Bibliography Manager for RefWorks > Save.

From here on out the search results in Google Scholar will be equipped with an Import into RefWorks button.

From a Database

Most databases offer a direct export option to RefWorks. The procedure is as follows:

  • Save the titles you want to import (Save, Mark, Add)
  • Sometimes titles are saved in a folder or e-shelf (Show, View, Folder)
  • Click Export or Save and choose RefWorks

RefWorks will open and after signing in the sources will automatically be imported.

From Pubmed

In Pubmed:

  • Select the titles you want to import
  • Send to > Choose destination: Citation Manager > Create File

In RefWorks:

  • Add  > Import references > Select a file from your computer
  • Choose NLM PubMed as import filter

From WorldCat Discovery

In WorldCat Discovery:

  • Select the titles by clicking Save, to the right of each title
  • Click My items, at the top right
  • Select the titles > Cite > Export to RefWorks

If you wish to export only one title, click Cite, to  the right of the title > Export to RefWorks.
