As was the case last year, Dutch universities are strongly represented in the top 100 with seven universities ranking in the top 100. The UvA is once again the second highest ranked Dutch university this year, with only Wageningen University & Research placing higher (62). The top three listed institutions are University of Oxford, Stanford University and Harvard University.

Methodology

The Times Higher Education Rankings are based on 13 performance indicators distributed over five categories: teaching (30%), research (30%), citations (30%), international outlook (7.5%) and industry income (2.5%). As was the case last year, the UvA recorded its highest scores in citations and international outlook.
