On Friday 15 November the Humanities Lab AVS and Innovation Exchange Amsterdam (IXA) are jointly organising a meeting about the rise of tourism in the city of Amsterdam.

A panel will address the problems and challenges of growing tourism, with a focus on opportunities for start-ups from the Humanities. The panel consists of:

  • Mascha Ten Bruggencate, chair of the Amsterdam city centre district
  • Sergio Segers, public affairs and policy at Tours & Tickets
  • Gert Jan van Wijngaarden, associate professor Archaeology
  • Karin Wilschut, adviser cultural policy
  • Harry Kraaij, founder of Bureau A to Z
  • Raphael Hunsucker, co-initiator of Italy Centrale

After a first discussion within the panel, there is every opportunity for the audience to jump in. The meeting will be held in Dutch and English.
