Kees Lammers has taken up his new position as director of Real Estate Development

Effective 1 October 2019, Cees van der Wolf stepped down after having served as director of UvA Real Estate Development for almost five years. Van der Wolf and the Executive Board reached the decision in mutual agreement in order to ensure that UvA's various construction projects can smoothly transition from the planning phase to the current construction phase. He was succeeded by Kees Lammers effective 1 October. Lammers previously served as director of Real Estate Development from 2011 to 2014.

Cees van der Wolf oversaw a significant number of new real estate projects at the various UvA campuses, and initiated construction of the new University Library at the former Binnengasthuis premises after consultations with the academic community.
