The lamps in the Social and Behavioural Sciences faculty building have daylight sensors and sensors that detect the presence of people. Both devices ensure that the lighting can be used in a sustainable way.

However, the daily use of these devices revealed that the detection sensors did not react properly and that the lighting did not sufficiently satisfy the needs of the users. The sensors were therefore placed in a different spot on the lighting fixtures and subsequently tested. The result of the test was positive:; the sensors work well in this new location.

As of 13 July of this year, all detection sensors from the 2nd floor  to the 10th floor of building B/C/D will be adjusted. Many people will be on vacation in this period, so this is when the least inconvenience will be caused by the work. Facility Services will inform employees of any special measures that may still be required.
