Once again the Green Nose is the place to be for a breath of fresh air or to enjoy some late-autumn sunshine. The re-landscaping of the green area between Nieuwe Achtergracht and Plantage Muidergracht – the sunniest spot on the Roeterseiland Campus – has been completed and the area is now fully accessible.

The roomy bench at the head of the area invites you to sit a while and enjoy the view, and more seating has been added. The low concrete wall along the new path on the Green Nose has been specially built at a height of 40 cm to make it a perfect place to sit. And now that the lawn runs right up to the canal wall, there is even more space to lie in the grass from spring next year on.

Walkers who follow the ribbon of white marker stones laid in the pathways will be led past the monumental plane tree and the flower beds. Next spring the massed planting of primarily white flowers will form a second ribbon through the lawn. Enjoy!
