Tomorrow, some very unusual guests will be visiting the Roeterseiland Campus. A group of divers will be going under water in the Nieuwe Achtergracht canal to investigate what the obstacles are that are preventing the driving of the sheet piling.
Once we know what these are, we should be able to come up with a solution for completing the sheet piling work.
The divers will be investigating both the northern side of the canal (alongside Building H) and the part of the southern side (alongside Building A) where the future bridge is due to be built. They will be working from the canalside by Building A. In the event the work is not completed on Thursday, the divers will return on Friday 25 March.
