Start of fine-free return month for library books
Return your late library books during our fine-free month of June
1 June 2021
If you still have library books at home that have incurred fines of up to 100 euros, you may hand them in without penalty at the desk of one of our library locations during the month of June. Your fines will be waived. If you have incurred fines higher than 100 euros, please contact the Library.
It is important that you hand in any books with outstanding fines at a library desk and not at a book drop machine or a return cart or box. The librarian will waive the fines at the counter.
If you have returned all your books, but still have outstanding fines of less than 100 euros, send an email to bkr-ub@uva.nl or report this to a library desk in order to have these fines waived.
For fines higher than 100 euros, contact bkr-ub@uva.nl as soon as possible. They will look into your specific situation.
