What will it be: Artificial Intelligence, Communication Science or Psychology? New and existing students alike will soon be making their study choice for the next academic year. This has always been hard, for there are hundreds of interesting degree programmes. However, the coronavirus pandemic has made this even harder. The strict measures in place have made it nearly impossible to come to the campus and meet your fellow students in the flesh. To solve this problem, the UvA has come up with a creative solution: the online Open House.

It allows you to explore the university campus, get a taste of the atmosphere and meet your fellow prospective students virtually. For most new and existing students, this is what determines their choice of a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme. Because of the coronavirus measures, however, the Open Days have had to move online. That left the problem of how to provide students with the necessary inspiration.

The UvA has come up with a creative solution: the online Open House. This is where prospective students can find out more about the vast range of degree programmes 24/7. There will also be themed weeks, such as Digital Future or Brain. Ticking the boxes of the subjects that interest you may well bring you into contact with degree programmes that you had not considered before. In addition, senior-year students will be providing tips on their favourite spots around town.

Thanks to the online Open House, every day is Open Day at the UvA. Experience it for yourself:
