The external committee that is examining the UvA’s system of reports and complaints relating to social safety will issue its report at the end of October.

The independent committee will recommend ways in which the current system of social safety can be improved. The reason for setting up the committee was an article in the NRC Handelsblad about undesirable behavior by a lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities.

The committee consists of Marry de Gaay Fortman (chairperson), Martine Bijkerk and Mary Tupan-Wenno.
