The UvA is opening an external contact point for reporting undesirable behaviour starting from 15 July.

Social safety must be a fixed value of UvA's work and study environment. We want everybody to be able to trust that reports of undesirable behavior will be taken seriously and will be investigated. Recent events have made it clear that extra attention needs to be paid to the proper handling of reports and that the possibilities for reporting undesirable behaviour must be expanded. Inventories are currently being made of the how reports and complaints have been handled, and an investigation is underway that will, in the autumn, result in recommendations for strengthening social safety at the UvA.

In the meantime, the UvA wants to offer an extra option for staff and students for whom the existing facilities do not offer a sufficient solution. That is why the UvA will be opening a temporary external contact point for reporting undesirable behavior from 15 July, which will remain open until 1 January 2021.

The preparations for setting up this external reporting point will be completed this week. More information about the reporting point will be published in the newsletters for employees and students of 8 July.
