Participating in a European multidisciplinary student conference in Lisbon?

In 2020 the UNICA Student Conference will be organised by Universidade Nova de Lisboa. The Office of International Student Affairs (BIS) will nominate a maximum of 10 students to participate in the UNICA Student Conference.

UNICA

The UNICA Student Conference is part of the UNICA is a network. This is a network of 51 universities from 33 capital cities of Europe.

Each two years one of the UNICA member universities organizes a conference. The conference is meant to give students a platform to share their views on issues which are crucial to Europe’s future. More than 250 European students will attend the conference in Lisbon.

Organised by Universidade Nova de Lisboa

The conference will be organised around 10 different topics under the main theme “Dream your University in the Capital City!”. The programme is open to second and third year Bachelor’s students and Master’s students enrolled at the UvA.

Participants are required to be fluent in English and willing to actively participate in discussions with fellow students from over 50 higher education institutions.

Free housing and travel

Three nights of accommodation, lunches during conference sessions and cultural events are covered by the organising universities. The UvA will provide a scholarship of to cover travel costs to Lisbon and transportation from the airport to the city.
