It’s time for the UvA Health Week again! From 13 to 16 May, there will be an extensive programme for students, PhD candidates and staff.
The theme of the Health Week is ‘balance’. What is balance? Are you in balance, or just balancing? Does balance even mean the same thing for everyone? What’s your study-life balance like?
Today’s 24/7 society, in which we are constantly bombarded with information and struggle with choice overload as well as the pressure to perform, makes it important that we periodically stop to think about what we are doing, why we are doing it and how.
Free activities are being organised at various UvA sites. Examples of these activities include mindfulness, tai chi, a mini course on shoulder massages, a lecture on addictions and workshops entitled ‘taking care of yourself’ and ‘flourishing in a competitive world’.
On Health and wellbeing you can find more information on all UvA-wide services in the area of health and well-being.
