UvA students and staff are welcome to study again at the University Library Singel, Science Park and Roeterseiland Campus. From Monday 6 July, the P.C. Hoofthuis will be added. We will start with a limited amount of study places. You have to book your study place in advance.
For students who miss studying in the library with fellow students, the Library UvA/AUAS now offers Onlinebrary. An online environment that helps you study at home. The concentration and motivation of studying together in the library, except that you're at home.
From Monday 6 July, it will again be possible for employees and students of the UvA and all other holders of a library card (non-UvA borrowers) to request and borrow printed materials via CataloguePlus. For the time being it is not possible to request materials from the Allard Pierson collections. It is also not possible to borrow books from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (Hogeschool van Amsterdam).
UvA students and UvA staff can pick up and return materials at the University Library Singel, the P.C. Hoofthuis and the Library Learning Centre (REC H) on the Roeterseilandcampus. The open collections on location are not accessible, with the exception of the Humanities collections at University Library Singel (read below).
Non-UvA borrowers can only collect and return their materials at the University Library Singel. From Tuesday 7 July it will again be possible for non-UvA borrowers to use a public PC in the University Library Singel to consult the digital collection. Reservation in advance is required. This can be done via the library's contact form.

If UvA students or staff are in urgent need of printed materials, but unable to visit the University Library due to corona measures, there remains an option to make a request via our contact form. The Library will check whether the material can be supplied digitally.
