Information-savvy Students

Mobilise a library staff member to assist your group in information literacy

Could your students' research capabilities use a boost? If so, you can use one of the University Library's information specialists for a group training in such matters as:

  • advanced search methods;
  • subject-specific databases;
  • the impact of publications;
  • sources and citations.

Subjects, level, place and time are decided in proper consultation between the lecturer and the University Library. For example, a training can consist of a presentation, discussion, exercises and a handout. Agreements can also be made on a training series over the course of the study period (learning trajectory) and on the use of online teaching materials via Canvas.

Do you want to discuss the possibilities further? Send an email or call the information specialist for your subject area.

The University Library also organises open registration workshops and courses. Experience has shown that information skills training in the context of the curriculum is more effective.
