Online workshops 1 & 2 September

On Wednesday 1 September and Thursday 2 September, the Library will organise the first edition of the Library Summer School. During these two days, UvA lecturers can further develop their information and digital skills.
A new academic year also means a new series of workshops given by the Library. The Library will kick off with the Library Summer School, which – in this first edition – focuses specifically on UvA lecturers. The Summer School will last two days and offers lecturers the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills, and to learn more about open education. Lecturers will also learn how they can help their students in this respect. Themes of the workshops include: searching and finding information, using databases, dealing with data, open education, digital skills, and tools for teaching materials.
The workshops are free of charge en lecturers can decide for themselves whether they want to attend one or more workshops and which ones. Most of the workshops will be given in English. The Library Summer School consists of the following workshops:
