As of 12 July, UvA students and staff no longer need to book a study place in advance as a result of the relaxation of the corona restrictions. At the same time, the summer opening times will begin. Library locations will remain open throughout the summer, but close earlier than during the rest of the year.
The relaxation of the corona restrictions is also affecting the Library. From 12 July, the obligation to reserve a study place in advance will no longer be required. You also no longer have to wear a face mask within the Library. However the 1.5 metre social-distancing requirement will remain in force.
In addition, keep in mind that the Library has adjusted opening hours during the summer period.
In order to consult the heritage collections you will still need to reserve a study place in the Reading Room. Please note, before making the reservation, you will first need a confirmation that your requested material has been put on hold for you.
For more information and reservations, please visit the Allard Pierson website.
Study places are for UvA students and staff only. AUAS students and library card holders have access for pick-up and return of materials only.
