Request and collection service resumes at University Library Singel.
18 March 2021
From 22 March external borrowers can request material from the catalogue and pick it up from University Library Singel. Use of study places and browsing materials in the open collections is unfortunately not yet possible.
The Library makes its collections available again to external borrowers. From Monday 22 March, library card holders can request printed materials via CatalogusPlus. Requested material can only be picked up from University Library Singel.
It is possible to briefly peruse requested works at the reading table by the photocopy room, and to scan and copy requested material. Unfortunately it is not yet possible to use the library study places nor to browse materials in the open collections. Neither can you browse the digital collections on site.
The Allard Pierson research room remains closed, so requests may not be made for heritage materials (materials from before 1901, archives etc.).
Wherever possible, external borrowers are kindly requested to come at off-peak times when the Library is not so busy. These are early in the morning and at the weekend.
During the coming period the Library will extend the memberships of all paying members for a period equal to the duration of the lockdown.
If you have any further questions, please, do not hesitate to contact us via Ask the Library.
