During the summer of 2020 the UvA is switching to a new reader system. Lecturers wishing to offer their students readers will soon have an easy way of doing this within Canvas, the UvA's digital learning environment.

The new reader system will be integrated in Canvas. Therefore, lecturers  will no longer will be needing a separate UvA Readers Online import module to set up a new reader. The new system is easier to use and offers an unique feature: the Library collections are embedded. This will make it easier for lecturers to use the library resources in their readers.

Students can download a free reader via Canvas or pay to have a paper version printed.

Seeking testers

The Library is looking for a number of lecturers to test the new reader system. The tests will take place in the second half of March and will take approx. 1 hour per person. Would you like to help us test the system? Please, contact the Library via auteursrecht@uva.nl.
