Help us decide on the chairs for the new study places in Labhal D

Help the Library create the best study places in the renewed Labhal in Building D

The University library will be offering faculty of science students over one hundred extra study places in the renewed Labhal in Building D at the beginning of the next academic year. The Library is currently conducting a survey to give students the opportunity to decide which chair they would prefer to use in this new study space.

From 19 to 26 February, students will be able to try out three different study chairs in the Science Park Library. After testing each of the chairs under consideration, they can rate the chairs on comfort, aesthetics and robustness. The online survey form will have an extra field for giving the Library any extra information you wish to.

Labhal, Building D

A total of 114 study places are going to be created in the experimental hall in building section D to meet students’ need for more study spaces. Three enclosed islands will be installed in the hall, each with access from the corridor on the first floor of D (walk- through between Buildings C and F). These study places will be perfect for highly concentrated, individual work. The design is by Tanja Buijs-Vitkova of architectural firm Aiscube; they were also responsible for the design of the learning spaces at the Roeterseiland Campus.
