Looking for somewhere to study on campus during the examination period? All the major library locations have extended opening hours and additional study rooms.


In collaboration with Facility Services (FS), the Library offers extra study places in lecture rooms. Availability varies by location. Please, check out the information screens on site or go to the library information desk for more information.

University Quarter

In the city centre, the University Library Singel has extended opening hours. The study centre is open until 23:45 (including weekends). The Humanities Library (C- and E-building) will remain open until 22.00.

Library P.C. Hoofthuis and Bushuis

During exam period the P.C. Hoofthuis and Bushuis libraries are open from Monday until Thursday until 22.00. Several lecture rooms are also available for self-study. Please, check out the information screens at the P.C. Hoofthuis and the Bushuis.


Would you like to study in the peaceful surroundings of a church? In collaboration with the library, Stadsherstel offers 70 additional study places in the Posthoornkerk  (Haarlemmerstraat 124-126) on 16, 17 and 18 December, from 9:00 to 19:00.


The Library Learning Center (LLC) is open on weekends (8/9 and 15/16 December) from 9:00 to 22:00.

From 10 until 21 December additional study places are available in lecture rooms. For more detailed information, please check the information screens, or consult UvASpacefinder (Mapiq).

Science Park

During the weekend of 15-16 December the Library and the study centre will be open until 20:00. From 10 until 21 December additional study places are available in lecture rooms on Science Park campus.
