As of today, researchers can write their data management plan with the online tool DMPonline.
A DMP is a digital document in which you describe what data you are going to collect during your research project, how you will store and manage the data during the project, and what will happen to the data after the project has finished.
Research funders often expect you to write a DMP for your research project. Besides, the general AUAS RDM guidelines require you to write a DMP for each project. With DMPonline, you can easily meet these requirements.
Benefits of DMPonline
Because DMPonline is an online tool, you’ll always be able to find your plan and keep your plan up to date. Also, you can share your DMP with colleagues and write the plan together, and ask for feedback from your data steward or RDM Support.
You’ll login with your UvAnetID. Then you choose either the general UvA template or another template, for example that of funder ZonMW. The NWO template isn’t in DMPonline yet, but we’re working on that.
