Artemis Literary Sources enables you to find quickly relevant scholarly information in various languages about literature and authors, worldwide from the earliest times to the present.


With single search in Artemis you can find the following information:

  • biographical information on authors and literary scholars in Literature Resource Center,
  • literary criticism in Literature Criticism Online,
  • primary literary texts in LitFinder,
  • over  2 million journal articles, books and dissertations in MLA (Modern Language Association) International Bibliography,
  • essays about writers and their works in Scribner Writers on GVRL, and
  • literary criticism in Twayne’s Authors on GVRL.

Using Artemis

In many cases the full text is available; if not, then UvAlinker will guide you to where you may find it. The databases also offer spoken text. It is possible to export your search results to RefWorks in order to create your own bibliography. Artemis is an indispensable resource in the field of world literature.
