Wireless internet for guests
As a guest, you have three options for using the wireless network at the UvA.
As a guest, you have several options for using the wireless network at the UvA.
- Eduroam wireless network: for guest users from other educational institutes. Log in using the account of your own institute. You can also use eduroam if a UvA staff member creates an eduroam guest account for you via eduroam Visitor Access (eVA). In that case, you will receive the login in data from this staff member.
- You can log on to the UvA Open Wi-Fi network, which does not require registration or passwords. At the Science Park you can connect to the network ‘Amsterdam Science Park’.
ICT Code of Conduct
UvA wireless users must observe the ICT Code of Conduct and the UvA-net regulations. Users who do not obey the ICT Code of Conduct and the UvA-net regulations risk being refused access to the UvA-net.
Using the UvA-net to distribute copyrighted materials is prohibited. If you are using BitTorrent to download material, switch off your BitTorrent programme before logging on to the UvAweb.
