Digital UvA publications processed faster
UvA a step closer to open-access publishing
Publications, lectures or datasets uploaded to Metis by UvA researchers without an embargo, become full-text available within one day in the publication tab on the researcher's personal page. There used to be a delay, because the bibliographic data were first verified.
Thanks to this improvement, UvA researchers can publish very quickly in open access via Metis, often immediately upon acceptance by the publisher. Check if your publisher allows this via the Open Access flowchart.
Since the publication tab on your homepage (example) is refreshed once a day only, it takes a day at most before your publications are visible.
Each publication is assigned a unique persistent identifier, so that the data will always remain accessible and the publication can easily be referred to online.
