The Linguistic Bibliography now online available
2,500 languages covered
The most complete linguistic bibliography is now digitally available at the UvA.
The UvA Library has taken out a subscription to the Linguistic Bibliography Online. Ca 19,000 titles are added each year by linguists from various countries and with various specialist areas. Also lesser-known languages are covered, as well as non-Indo-European languages, and endangered and extinct languages, including those from Antiquity. This makes it the most complete general linguistic bibliography. It is freely accessible within the UvA domain or after logging in with your UvAnetID.
UvA background
The editorial team is based in the Netherlands. For almost fifty years the
Linguistic Bibliography was published by the Dutch universities together with
the Royal Library. When it was no longer subsidised, the commercial publisher
Brill took over publication.
Present editors are R. Genis, H. Olbertz (both also teach at the UvA), S. Tol
and E. van der Veken.
