Unwind in University Library puppy room - already 'sold out'
The University Library on Singel will be temporarily opening a puppy room especially for students during the upcoming exam period. Looking for a chance to relax between studying? Then come along and cuddle and play with a puppy. There are limited places, as the puppy room will only be open on the afternoons of Monday 22 and Tuesday 23 October. So don’t delay, sign up today.
The aim of this initiative is to give students an opportunity to relax in a unique way during the busy exam period. Far from being a new idea, puppy rooms have been organised by various universities abroad, primarily in the USA and the UK. In addition to the puppy room the University Library will also be providing an extra 750 study places over the exam period.
It goes without saying that the puppies’ welfare is our top priority. A supervisor will be keeping a close eye on what happens to them. The puppies will be available for a maximum of two hours and for each time slot only a limited number of students will be allowed to enter the puppy room.
How does it work?
Only students from the UvA can sign up for a ticket granting them entry to the puppy room in the Doelenzaal, UB Singel, during a time slot on 22 or 23 October between 14:00 and 16:00. You will be allowed to spend a quarter of an hour in the puppy room. Participation is free of charge.
- Access granted to UvA students only (student ID to be shown upon entry).
- Please ensure that you arrive 15 minutes before your time slot.
- Tickets are specific to the individual and are not transferable.
