Open access publishing: workshops

For researchers

27 September 2017

It is possible to publish open access in almost every journal, and in most cases without any costs for the author. On 23, 24 and 26 October the Library will give workshops in which you will learn how to publish open access.

Open access publishing can be done in open access journals, but also in traditional journals that are in principle only accessible through a subscription. Even articles behind the paywall of the publisher can in most cases be published open access in a trusted repository.

In this workshop we will explain what open access is, how you can publish open access, and the mandates of the funders when your research has been financed by NWO, the European Commission (Horizon2020) or the European Research Council (ERC).

On occasion of the international Open Access Week 2017, running from 23 - 29 October, the library is organizing these workshops, that are primarily for academics. Policymakers, students and teachers are also kindly invited.
