Competition: find a name for the research data management system
From late 2016 the Library will be providing a central research data management system. Researchers from UvA and AUAS can use this to store their data securely, archive them and share them with specific colleagues by controlled access. This management system also allows you to publish data, both open and under embargo.
Think up a name or acronym
The Library is looking for a nice, catchy name or acronym for this central Research Data Management (RDM) system. A name or acronym which
- refers to how UvA and AUAS researchers can use the system, and/or
- says something about how fellow researchers (both internally and externally) can use the system. For example, discover UvA and AUAS data and possibly reuse them, and
- is easy on the ear and memory.
The name of the provider of the system, Figshare, must not be part of the name. Also names of already existing UvA and AUAS systems (such as UvA data) will not qualify.
Win a gift voucher
The one who comes up with the winning name for the RDM system will receive a gift voucher worth €50.00.

The jury will consist of the members of the RDM implementation committee. In this committee, the functional design of the central RDM system is discussed by representatives of all UvA and AUAS faculties. The winning name will be made public in October via the RDM website. Each competitor will be personally notified. No correspondence about the decision of the jury will be entered into.
