New services for UvA-DARE: DOAI and altmetrics
Recently two improvements have been made to UvA-DARE, the institutional repository of the UvA.
UvA-DARE now has ‘altmetrics’ which gives you insight into the reactions generated by an article. Click the Altmetrics icon (the donut) to get a detailed overview of where and how this article has received attention.
You can, for example, find out if an article by a UvA author has been noticed on Twitter and Facebook, Mendeley, blogs and several other (social) media.
You see the ‘donut’ at all articles where it is pertinent, provided they have a DOI (Digital Object Identifier).
DOAI: access to open-access versions of an article on the web
The DOAI (Digital Open Access Identifier) link gives access to free versions of an article on the web, if available. Clicking 'free version of this publication outside the UvA’ will, for example, take you to the article in ArXiv or ResearchGate.
