1000th Springer article is from UvA
Open access proves fruitful
The agreement between the Dutch universities and Springer Publishers about publishing open access has already produced 1,000 articles. The 1000th article was written by two scientists from the AMC.
The publication by Sonia Stefanovic and Vincent M. Christoffels,
GATA-dependent transcriptional and epigenetic control of cardiac lineage specification and differentiation, in the journal
Cellular and molecular life sciences can be read by anyone, without requiring a subscription or any other privileges.
The article was submitted to Springer according to the procedure stated in the news item of last January.
