How to search for relevant information on the internet and in library resources
The workshop focuses on search and information literacy skills relevant to under- and postgraduate students and to (beginning) researchers working on a paper or a thesis. Open to all Humanities students and staff.
In this hands-on workshop we will help you:
- to identify the key concepts of a topic and to devise appropriate search terms;
- to identify appropriate information sources (primary and secondary literature) and search strategies
- to find and get access to the information you need;
- to evaluate the information you find and assess its suitability for inclusion in a given assignment.
Participants: min. 5, max 16.
The workshops are free of charge.
