Smart Education: the Power of AI in Didactics

FULLY BOOKED/WAITING LIST Developments in AI are currently moving very quickly and are turning education upside down. They influence not only educational content, but also the way in which that content is conveyed. In this workshop you will learn how to adapt didactics to AI developments. You will also discover how AI technologies offer new opportunities to develop effective educational practices.

After completing this workshop: 

  • you have insight into the changing dynamics between AI and examination in higher education

  • you have insight into the changing dynamics between AI and didactic working methods in higher education

  • you have concrete ideas and practical guidelines to adapt teaching methods to AI developments

  • you are familiar with the challenges and ethical considerations associated with the use of AI in education and do you have tools to deal with them

Workshop instructors: Jacqui Edwards and Ivar Kolvoort

This workshop is organised in collaboration with the UvA Teaching and Learning Centre and is part of the Library Academy. Teachers and support staff can participate in workshops from Monday January 29 to Wednesday January 31, 2024 at the Libraries of the University of Amsterdam, the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
